Performance Street Car #45

March 2022

Welcome to Issue #45 of Performance Street Car.
Hi everyone! Ok, have you had enough of the wet stuff? If you’ve been affected by flooding around the country, our thoughts are will you and home that you and your family are safe and well. And just as the water was subsiding, those in control of the petrol pumps seem to think it’s their right to stick it to us with unbelievably high fuel prices. $2.00-plus for E10? That’s just ludicrous. It’s great to see the ACCC looking after the Australian motoring public. Anyway, enough whinging. I’ve put together a killer issue this month, headed by the exclusive first look of the Kryger Family Racing’s new Torana. Built by Simon for his youngest daughter Courtney to race, the flat black beast is a typical Kryger car – big blocked and packing plenty of nitrous on a relatively small tyre! We also have a blown XW GT tribute car built to melt rear tyres with ease. There’s also a tubbed, street-driven 9-sec Mazda RX7, blown V6-powered ’26 Ford Pickup and one of the toughest HK Monaro’s in Queensland! We relive the Springnats from Shepparton, the NSW All American Day and the Bargo Pub Run – an event that attracted lots of attention from various groups! There’s lots to read about this month, so sit back with a cold one and enjoy issue #45 of Performance Street Car – Australia’s Toughest Car Magazine!
