Performance Street Car #35

April 2021

G’day Everyone, welcome to Issue #35.

Putting Issue #34 together, really took it out of me. And even with a few hassles thrown in for good measure this time, this Issue went together relatively easily. I guess sometimes, you just have to take the good with the bad. Before getting into what’s in store for you this month, I want to do a shout-out to those affected by the recent floods – not just in Sydney, but along the East Coast. The devastation caused is mind-blowing and I have a couple of mates that lost everything. My heart goes out to them and everyone who is still dealing with the damage caused…

Check out this month's cover car! Anyone who’s been in the scene for as long as I have will remember Jimmy’s HYPO XW Falcon when it first hit the scene almost 30 years ago. Now it's back and looking better than ever! It’s kept company this month with a killer mix of cars including a Procharged big-block HQ, a Gen3 Hemi-powered Charger, a 355-cube LJ Torana and a blown Hemi-powered ’34 Ford Coupe. Event-wise, we check out the 10th Anniversary Bathurst Autofest, the 6th King of the Streets Drag Meet from Heathcote and the wet, but no less impressive Showcars Melbourne event. We also showcase a one-off XP Falcon Coupe powered by a Dodge Viper V10 engine with a couple of turbos hanging off it!

Hope you enjoy Issue #35 of Performance Street Car – Australia’s Toughest Car Magazine. Catch you next month for Issue #36 with an announcement that’s going to blow your socks off!
